Team Leader Council (TLC) is a new concept in leadership development that combines effective learning instruments with ongoing support to help create more skilled and focused leaders. Now, this powerful process has been tailored to assist churches and is available for clergy and other congregational leaders.
The components that make up the TLC experience are biblically sound and spiritually senstitive:
SELF AWARENESS Effective leaders know their strengths and weaknesses. Using a variety of tools, our process provides a safe and effective method of self discovery that can lead to a deepening personal awareness. Rather than "test and fix" our process will "discover and capitalize."
SKILL DEVELOPMENT Good leaders are made, not born. TLC participants develop key skills necessary for effective leadership. Case studies help group members develop effective strategies for real world situations. Between meetings, secure internet technology allows for instant case studies to be processed for real time help with decision making during stressful situations.
APPLICATION Classroom training and experience can only go so far. TLC group participants take the skills they acquire and apply them in their congregations and with their teams in order to develop real world experience.
ONGOING SUPPORT TLC members act as a support group for developing leadership skills. Members share ideas and solve problems together at monthly meetings and through a special online listserve. Many skill development components are available 24 hours a day via the internet so members can supplement their learning in their own congregations and at their own speed.
- Members meet three hours a month over the course of the year-long program.
- A blended learning approach integrates classroom, support and application experiences.
- A facilitator with over 30 years of pastoral experience serves as a virtual coach both in the classroom and online.
