BUILDING HIGH PERFORMANCE TEAMS

Description

This five-module program prepares managers for the task of creating a team environment with a focus on behavioral communication skills, using the DISC model of behavior, and the importance of shared values and mission.
 

Objectives

Participants will be able to:
  • Identify success factors of a team approach
  • Identify barriers to success
  • Understand their behavioral style
  • Recognize others' behavioral styles
  • Adapt for greater communication
  • Recognize the importance of values to the team process
  • Develop a set of values and definitive statements
  • Define mission/vision
  • Validate the necessity of clearly defined, well-communicated mission/vision
  • Write, review and adopt a mission/vision statement using organizational input
  • Identify potential team improvement points
  • Select/Generate/Implement solutions to team problems
  • Use measurement-based decision making
